In the 21st Velvi discourse, Gurumahan discusses the benefits of National Waterways and calls upon individuals to become yogis, bringing about both inner and societal transformation.

An extraordinary transformation can take place in the land of India. Water that is unavailable in many parts of the world is found in abundance in our country. Yet, we have not used it properly. When rain falls, we are unable to utilize it fully, and much of it flows into the sea. The resulting floods cause great destruction, while other regions suffer from drought due to a lack of water.

To overcome these challenges, we now have the opportunity to create waterways. Earlier Government developed major highway networks, connecting cities through four-lane roads and improving transportation across the nation. In the same way, if we connect our waterways, we can bring about a great transformation in India.

Through India’s transformation, we can contribute to improving the global environment. India has the potential to change the world. Therefore, India must change. But what does that change mean? It does not mean becoming someone else. Be yourself. Today, the Tamilian is not truly a Tamilian, and the Indian is not truly an Indian.

To be a true Indian, become a rishi. Become a yogi. Become a soul awakened to its true nature. The purpose of this Velvi is to bring about that transformation within you.
