In the 20th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan emphasizes the transformative potential of National Waterways in strengthening India's economy, reducing pollution, and connecting communities.

Yoga teaches us to prevent problems before they arise. Many diseases do not appear suddenly. They first enter the body in subtle forms that are invisible to the eye. Only after they develop do they become physically noticeable. In the same way, the effects created by the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—begin as subtle disturbances before manifesting on a larger scale.

The 20th Velvi serves as a transformative effort aimed at safeguarding society before major challenges emerge. Just as some illnesses require only a few days of treatment, while others require months or even lifelong care, meaningful change also requires sustained effort. The years from 2008 to 2012 represent a crucial five-year period during which corrective actions can reduce future consequences. Effects may still occur, but their severity can be greatly minimized.

There is no need to live in fear. When a child becomes frightened, the child instinctively reaches for its mother. Likewise, when human beings face uncertainty, they should hold firmly to the Divine, the Supreme Life Force. For this reason, this period will witness an increase in spiritual practices. Whether through devotion, prayer, temple worship, or meditation, people will seek inner peace and security. New temples will emerge, and more people will turn toward meditation in search of calmness and purpose.

The purpose of the Sarva Sakthi Yagnam is the protection and well-being of the Earth. It seeks a world where violence gives way to peace and where constructive national development benefits all people. One such vision is the creation of a National Waterway Network.

Even without linking rivers, developing waterways can significantly reduce fuel consumption and transportation costs. Just as modern highways have connected distant regions of the country and made travel faster and easier, waterways can provide an efficient and environmentally friendly transportation system. Today, travel from one end of India to the other is far more convenient because of extensive road infrastructure. Similarly, waterways can become an important pillar of national progress.

Waterways can help reduce pollution, conserve water resources, generate employment opportunities, and support economic growth. They allow each state to retain and manage its own water resources while benefiting from improved transportation and connectivity. Such projects can also contribute to electricity generation and create jobs during construction and maintenance.

Road networks have already shortened travel times and strengthened connections between districts, states, and communities. In the same way, a National Waterway Network can further unite the nation, promote development, and bring long-term benefits to India. According to Gurumahan, this vision has the potential to become a major step toward the country's future progress and prosperity.
