Why Is the Space Between the Eyebrows Called the Gateway to Realization? | புருவ மத்தி ஏன் ஞான விழிப்பின் வாயில் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In the 12th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan reveals that the Supreme Kundalini energy can be directly experienced through the opening of the third eye, a rare spiritual initiation compassionately offered at UPF Thirumoorthi Hills.
What is Kundalini? What is the force that fills the entire Universe?
The energy that exists inside and outside every atom is called Kundalini Shakti. This very Kundalini energy appears as all forms. In the beginning, within the field of consciousness, this energy differentiated into the three qualities (gunas).
Through the nature of these three qualities, it first manifested as subtle particles in space, then evolved into air, fire, water, and finally Earth.
In this process, its presence in space remained invisible to the eye. As fire it existed in a subtle, formless state; as air it remained unseen. Only when it became liquid and solid matter did it become perceptible. Through the five elements it became accessible to the senses, to the mind, and to knowledge. For this reason, one must first worship the Almighty within the heart.
Spiritual practice begins with worship of God in form, and later evolves into worship of God as light. Lamps are lit in temples to symbolize this inner light. In the same way, our ashram practice includes lighting of the Ashta Deepa, the Eight lights.
Where are these Eight lights? They extend from the Muladhara to the Sahasrara. Beyond the Sahasrara exists the Supreme Brahman energy, the Supreme Light. From this perfect Supreme Light the entire Universe has evolved. That same light exists within us. Where is it? It is none other than you. So where are you?
Where does the Guru touch and awaken this awareness? The Guru touches the space between the eyebrows. Without opening the third eye, one cannot realize God, know the true Self, or gain the wisdom that reveals the secrets of the Universe as they truly are.
The point between the eyebrows is therefore called the third eye. Even Lord Ganesha, the primordial deity, is revered for this inner vision. In Kundalini Yoga, the teaching centers on awakening this third eye. Place the Divine there and worship inwardly. Just as God resides in the temple, the same Divine presence resides within this body.
Meditate on God at the eyebrow center and seek the blessings you desire. What do you seek? In this state you stand ready to receive grace. The Divine abides there as Sadasiva.
From this state, what you speak gains power, and what you think begins to manifest. The Puranas illustrate this through Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling Divine cow. When one approaches Kamadhenu and asks, it grants all that is needed for the Yajna.
Where does this Kamadhenu truly exist? Within our own eyebrow center. With open arms, like the Divine form itself, you may ask for the blessings you seek.
Even Jesus expressed this truth: “Knock, and it will be opened; ask, and it will be given; seek, and you will find.” If we leave the place where the truth already resides within us and search elsewhere, can we truly find it?
Therefore, dear devotees, the Divine resides within you. You carry the presence of God within your very being. The power of the Divine lives within you.
This is the source of creative power, creativity and knowledge. That creative power exists in every human being. Each person carries limitless potential because the Divine has bestowed boundless energy upon humanity.
Why? Because the Divine itself lives within us.
Therefore, worship the Divine within.

Let us protect the Universe!
