In the 12th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan highlights the supreme value of human birth. He explains that even celestial beings must take human form to attain liberation, for only in a human incarnation is moksha possible.
The scriptures explain how to attain Self-knowledge. From Brahma, Brihaspati receives this wisdom, the immortal art, the knowledge of the Self. Brihaspati teaches it to Vishva. Then he passes it to his elder son, and the knowledge continues through generations. Indra, the king of the gods, goes to Prajapati to receive this Self-knowledge. Whether one is Indra, Chandra, or Surya, they must take human birth to attain liberation. Think about it. You are greater than Chandra, Surya, and even Devendra. Yet you behave as if you know nothing. You keep going around the Moon, the Sun, and the planets. They are actually waiting to serve you. But you go to them and say, “Seven-and-a-half years of Saturn.” In truth, Saturn does good to us. People even say that Saturn (Sani) is exalted for Gurumahan. What does exaltation mean? It means being at the highest state.
So Saturn is good. Everything is good. Whatever happened was good.
