Santhosam Season 8 Episode 4

In 1998, 8th Velvi, Gurumahan talks about how the Universal Shakthi responds to the cries of true disciple!

My duty is to protect this world by restraining the destructive forces that enter it. Whoever cries out sincerely from the depths of their heart, saying, “O Lord, protect me,” will be answered, regardless of the form in which they call. Even if someone calls upon a dog as their God and prays, “O dog, protect me,” it becomes my duty to protect them in that very form. This is how I carry out my responsibility.

This is the duty of God as realized by the sages. Even in the Gita, it is said that the Divine acts by performing duty. Everything is essentially one. Those who truly surrender, whether they worship Ayyappa, Ganapati, Shakti, Shiva, Vishnu, Rudra, Jesus, Allah, or the Light, gathering their mind, calling out with sincerity are guided by the Universe. Responding to such a call is the responsibility of the Cosmic power. You too are born from that same Universal power.

When the father fulfills his duty properly, the son and the daughter must also fulfill theirs. For this very purpose, this world, the land of karma, came into existence. This is not a permanent world; we are not its lasting owners. To reach any higher state, one must develop the necessary qualification, and that qualification must be cultivated within oneself.

The Guru’s duty is to guide and Guru wishes to take the disciples to highest state of consciousness. Money is not the concern; qualification is. Acquiring that qualification is your responsibility. Each individual must recognize and perform their own duty, and that itself is dharma. Dharma means living as a true human being, with humanity. For those who possess spiritual love, recognizing the inner divinity and living according to it is dharma.

When dharma declines, an incarnation arises to protect it. Today, dharma has declined, and therefore it is necessary to teach righteous principles and guide people along the right path. Each of you must perform your duties and remain established in discipline and inner practice (Kundalini meditation), both in the morning and in the evening.

When a person lives with completeness, it is called happiness. Happiness means fulfillment. That fulfillment should remain constant. All of us have come into this world seeking happiness. Therefore, let us fully experience that happiness and create a world filled with happiness.
