Santhosam Season 5 Episode 5

On this sacred land of Bharata, five great penances (Velvis) are being performed in ways that people today can understand. Though unseen, countless sages and saints continue to radiate waves of thought from hidden places, working tirelessly to protect and preserve the world.

These realized beings have transcended the physical, subtle, and causal bodies, merging with the Supreme. From that state, they send infinite currents of energy across the cosmos. Ordinary people, unaware of this, often feel that what they imagine does not happen as expected—yet it is the Supreme within that directs events differently, sometimes offering glimpses of truth without our knowing.

The true purpose of life is to realize the Self and abide in the soul’s essence. In the beginning, the Primordial (Adi) was in forgetfulness; then awakening arose, thought appeared, and spread as the sound of Om. That vibration became resonance, then light, then fire. Fire slowed into particles, particles condensed into water, water solidified into earth, and through collision became air, which in turn transformed back into fire.

From this primal One emerged the five elements (Pancha Bhutas). Their combinations gave rise to earth, moon, stars, planets, and all cosmic movements. Yet humans believe life exists only here. In truth, higher forms of life dwell on other worlds, though human knowledge has not yet expanded enough to perceive them.

Caught in visible pleasures and pains, people forget that human consciousness is vast—it can travel anywhere, faster than light itself. The speed of human intellect is 8 lakh mile per second. We are none other than the primal essence. The source (Adi) is not separate; it has become us. That is why some are called “Adi.” God is not elsewhere—God is ourselves.

Therefore, do not search outside. Chant the divine names always. Even children, when taught to repeat God’s name, gain maturity to realize the Self. This is why our ancestors emphasized such practices. And so, the five sacred offerings have been performed gloriously, fulfilling their purpose.
