Who are true Brahmins? உண்மையான ‘பிராமணர்’ யார்? - 7th Velvi (1997)
The noble thought waves that arise from the universe possess immense power and speed. Each one of you stands as a living radar, attuned to these subtle thought waves. When you receive them and transmit them from within, their influence spreads according to the purity and speed of your thought, flowing outward to your family, your street, your village, your district, and your nation, ever expanding without limit.
Thus, the sacred month of Margazhi is a season of spiritual awakening for humanity. Whether others make use of it or not, you must surely do so. For the protection of Dharma is your sacred responsibility. Regardless of whether others uphold righteousness, you are born for Dharma alone. If this duty is neglected, it will remain unfulfilled, and the consequences will inevitably follow.
When a teacher fails in duty, the learning of the students declines, and with it the wisdom of the nation. Even a single lapse in responsibility brings disorder. Though negligence may appear comfortable in the moment, its effects are destructive in time. Therefore, when faced with a choice between comfort and righteousness, abandon comfort and adhere to what is right.
In the same way, who are you all? You are the wisdom teachers of the future! What does a wisdom teacher mean? One who imparts wisdom (Kundalini Initiation) to others and guides them through instruction, through discourse, and also through spoken words that convey many noble thoughts.
In the future, all of you are going to become wisdom teachers who impart knowledge. So what is your duty? What should you do every day? You must practice disciplined spiritual austerity yourselves and also inspire others to practice it.
What is the duty of a true Brahmin?
To study and to teach.
To recite the Vedas and to teach the Vedas.
To protect righteousness and to teach righteousness.
To practice virtue and to instruct virtue.
That is why, in truth, all of you here today are those Āntanars. An Āntanar is not determined by birth. One who wears the sacred thread is not necessarily an Andanar. One who keeps a tuft of hair is not an Andanar. One who is given the name is not an Andanar.
Whoever realizes the Self (Atma), he alone is an Andanar. Whoever realizes Brahman, he is a Brahmin. Therefore, you who have realized the Self, you who have realized Brahman, you who have attained the experience and realization of the Vedic truth “That is You (Tat Tvam Asi)” and “Yes, that is indeed I”, who are you? You are Brahmins.
Thus, Brahmins are those who have realized Brahman and those who make others realize Brahman.
Therefore, every day, remaining as true realized beings and following this Kundalini meditation, you must practice—both in the morning and in the evening. Whether you do it for yourselves or not, for the sake of this change of the age (Yuga transformation), you must do it without fail. Isn’t it so?
So what should be done? One does not study only for oneself, but for one’s lineage and society. Even if one studies, the benefit becomes a true honor only when it serves a higher purpose.
Let Wisdom Flourish!
Let Peace Prevail!
Let us protect Mother earth!
Let us protect the Universe!
