Santhosam Season 4 Episode 12

Wisdom teacher Rafi Ahmed often asks, “Why should the Master of Supreme Wisdom (Guru) not reveal Himself?” Though all powers reside within me, I continued to say that my time had not yet arrived. Why? Because when the right moment comes and I reveal myself, world peace will be established instantly. When wisdom and governance unite, humanity will begin to live in love, culture, brotherhood, and harmony. True world peace arises only when wisdom and politics become one.

First, the individual must attain inner peace. Wisdom is knowledge; politics is power. Only when knowledge and power unite within a person can one perform one’s duties completely, rise to higher states of awareness, attain happiness, and live in peace. This same principle must be imparted to the world. Strong individuals must be created. Human beings carry countless powers within themselves, yet they wander endlessly, believing they lack something. If they turn inward and go deep within, they can reach the divine state. Why, then, do they fail to understand this truth?

Whether through Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, or Jnana Yoga, without attaining the supreme power called Truth, one cannot reach the ultimate state. Scriptures across ages have proclaimed this, yet humanity continues to overlook it.

The same power that permeates the universe also resides within the human being, at the Mooladhara—the root chakra. The force that governs the sun is the very force that operates within us. This power exists in the Mooladhara as fire. Five thousand years ago, the people of Egypt built the pyramids to symbolize this profound truth. Temples, too, were constructed to reveal the immeasurable power within the human body. The word “pyramid” signifies “fire in the center.” The fire at the center is the nucleus of the atom; when released, it generates immense heat. The core of an egg is warm. The center of the Earth is hot. Likewise, the center of the human body—where the sacred thread (அரைஞாண் கயிறு) is tied—is the seat of vast knowledge and the dwelling place of the divine spark. Only when this spark is ignited and the fire of wisdom grows can a human being become divine.

For a human to live as a true human, the eye of wisdom must be opened. That is why, in ancient times, children were initiated into spiritual disciplines at the ages of five, seven, and nine. Even today, the temple flagpole (kodimaram) stands thirty-three units high, mirroring the same symbolism found in the pyramid. In the three dimensions—length, breadth, and height—the number thirty-three recurs, revealing the profound connection between the human body and the sacred number 33, representing the spinal bones. The inner fire must rise upward. Thus, the flagpole stands both inside and outside the temple, thirty-three units tall, symbolizing the ascent of inner fire along the spinal column.

All negative qualities must be cast away, and into this sacred fire, the ghee of love must be poured. Divine flowers symbolize noble thoughts. When this energy ascends, the green and white light of pure knowledge and supreme energy dawns within the individual. This is symbolised in the flag.  Based on this philosophy, the sacred fire ritual was performed during the fire penance ceremony. Through this awakening of inner wisdom, the world will surely attain peace and harmony.
