Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom
Holy penance is Gurumahan's Sacrifice and Vow to Uplift Humanity to True Self experience! | முதல் வேள்வி: தவ வேள்வி, குருவின் தியாகமும் மனிதகுலத்தை உயர்ந்த நிலைக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்லவேண்டும் என்ற பிரதிக்ஞை!
The purpose of science is to prove the existence of true self. Science and spiritual wisdom are not separate. Even our spiritual knowledge can today be transformed into science in many ways. For example, medical science says: if the body has no food for three days, it will lose weight. But here, it has in this penance of 23 days, we count it as 21. From December 16, 1991, when I entered into penance , until January 7, 1992, when I completed the penance , my weight remained the same 60 kilos as was before start of penance. How is this possible? I would even touch my stomach to check if I have reduced weight!
I remembered the story: when Krishna ate 1 piece of rice, it was enough to satisfy all the disciples of sage Durvasa. I too had heard such tales in the Puranas. But in my own experience, the offerings made by my dear beloved divine mothers, before every meal, they dedicated it to the Guru who sat in the sacred penance, these filled my stomach.
If I did not drink milk, no one would know what I was doing inside, for I concealed everything during the holy penance. People would wonder: Has he died? Is there a smell? What is he doing? Only to prevent such doubts did I drink milk. Just being in such state for three days called as nirvikalpa samādhi, the soul unites with the supreme power, it will not return to the body. That is why, after death, we perform certain rites on the third day. It is said that Jesus rose again three days after death. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa too, when Totapuri Swami gave him the Initiation Kundalini Initiation, entered this Nirvikalpa state for three days. But after three days, the soul that has attained supreme bliss does not wish to return to worldly life.
What use is it then to come back? Many sages have existed. Some leave, others attained bliss and cried out loudly, calling those who are bonded in worldly pleasures. But those did not heed the call, thinking the pleasures of the lower world were enough, and perished there.
Here Gurumahan, having attained this supreme bliss, thought: “Ah, we have reached supreme joy! Why should not all beings in this world attain liberation?” And so they descended again not only crying out, but speaking, teaching, and transforming others into beings of awareness, raising them as they themselves had been raised.
Just as you draw the Guru here, so too noble energies above pull Guru toward that supreme state. This is attraction, magnetism, the pull of grace. When the soul united with supreme, this physical body becomes inert. With the inert body you build a tomb, place a garland, sing hymns, burn incense and camphor, and say: “This divine one did penance for 21 days ”
But while Gurumahan was in 21 day penance, you were writing and chanting outside, I was inside, writing back to you, moving you, guiding you, remaining in that state. I can stay in the same state and guide you from inside! Yet how can anyone know me? Have you transcended subtlety? You have not yet transcended even the gross body!
So Through Karma Yoga, Gurumahan returns to human form with a smiling face to guide souls toward the Supreme Self, fulfilling his duty on Earth and ensuring the dawn of Satya Yuga.
