Benefits of Jeeva Raksha practice | ஜீவ ரக்ஷா பயிற்சி செய்வதால் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகள்!
With the grace of God, anything can be achieved in this world. Anything can happen, to anyone, anywhere—that is destiny. Can a child be harmed? Can a child die? Can a wise person die? What kind of death do they face? The body disappears, but the soul never perishes.
That Supreme Light—where is it? It is everywhere. It resides in the seven energy centers of the body, in the life-force centers. When balance is disturbed in any of these centers, sit quietly and direct your breath to that specific center through Samacheer Pranayama.
Disease arises from either deficiency or excess. When the movements of the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—become imbalanced, disease manifests. So the only way to prevent illness is to maintain equilibrium among these five elements. That is the essence of 'Jeeva Raksha'—life protection through balance.
To achieve this, we must balance the three doshas: Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (water). When these are in harmony, the body's functions also stabilize. Whatever ailments may exist, if we practice this breathing method—morning, noon, and evening—using the count 3, 12, 3, 3 (21 counts per cycle, 3 cycles per minute = 63 counts), and then increase to 5, 20, 5, 5 (35 seconds per cycle), we reduce our breathing rate to just two breaths per minute.
Normally, we breathe 15 times per minute, in that case one can live up to 100 years. If we reduce it to just two, we can extend our life span. . So if you practice this during idle moments, your lifespan increases. Just as you gain health, you also gain longevity. Can we change our fate? Yes, we can! Especially Kundalini yogis can extend their lifespan. If they wish, they can stay longer—or leave the body at will. Others won’t even know when they’ve gone.
Many suffer, many elders say, 'We don’t know when God will call us.' And when He does, they say, 'Not now, let me stay another week—my granddaughter’s wedding is coming up.' So what does God do? He grants that extra week. And after that, they leave for some reason.
But when God calls, it’s best to go. Many don’t even realize they’ve been called. But for the enlightened ones, it brings a sense of completion—a fulfilled life."
