Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom
I-God: How can I become God? |
I originated from a divine state, and my deepest longing is to return to that pure state. Just like how a father feels a unique joy when his son aspires to follow in his footsteps — a joy even deeper than the happiness he felt at his son's birth — in the same way, our greatest goal should be to become like God.
God is not just a being of power but of boundless compassion, unconditional love, limitless grace, and infinite capability. I too wish to reflect these divine qualities. I yearn to embody that endless love, limitless wisdom, and unshakable strength. Let me not just seek God, but seek to become like Him.
God, in His infinite compassion, continues to bless even those who deny Him or speak against Him. Take Sage Bhrigu, for example — even after he kicked the God’s chest, God responded with grace, not anger.
This is the divine ideal I must strive for: to love every being, without exception (anbu). To seek understanding of all things (arivu), to grow in every kind of strength —Physical strength, strength of mind, material capability, and wisdom(aatral). No matter what life throws at me, I must remain centred in joy — in a state of divine bliss (aanandham). True beauty is the beauty of the heart — a heart that reflects God’s love and serenity (azhagu). May my mind and soul remain ever peaceful (amaidhi).
God is the one who gives everything — and that’s why He is called Shankara. The name Shankara is deeply meaningful: "San" stands for joy, and "Kara" means giver. So, Shankara is the giver of joy.
Govindha too means the one who grants bliss to all living beings — a universal benefactor of joy and peace. When we chant “Arohara” with full awareness, from the highest point within us, we align with the supreme state- That sacred vibration lifts us and draws us into divine consciousness.
To believe in this higher presence — to trust that such a divine force exists — that very belief is the essence of bhakti, true devotion.
By worshipping God again and again with deep faith, the worshipper himself becomes worthy of worship. In other words, through that devotion, he becomes Ishwara — he becomes one with God.
In the past, we worshipped God as an external form, outside of us. But now, we worship Him within ourselves — we worship through inner experience and awareness. Therefore, awareness itself is Brahman, awareness itself is God.
