Lines 1 and 2:

The primordial energy is omnipresent, and we can see that it also exists within humans. Controlling the mind that moves through the senses that means, instead of letting the mind wander through the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and body, it is turned inward.

The Inner spiritual power within you gives you a command every time before you do any action. That is what is referred to as the inner voice or intuition. Everyone has it. One must listen to what that inner Shiva (divine presence) within the consciousness is saying, and act accordingly. When you act according to what moves or guides you from within, you can see many qualities (gunas) — all of them exist within you. Explore within yourself. What is true education? It is what already exists within you.
Set your mind in the Ajna Chakra. Understand the mind with the mind itself. Whatever arises, bring it to the space between the eyebrows (third eye centre) and dissolve it there. That is where the Guru is always present. The Guru Is always within you, in your third eye, to guide you. The Guru constantly thinks only of transforming disciples into beings of wisdom. Ignorance should not remain — he urges you to overcome ignorance through knowledge. In the path of wisdom, devotion is one stage, then comes action (karma) in wisdom, and finally, wisdom itself in its purest form. Thirumoolar says that by placing your focus in the Ajna (third eye), you can attain the qualities of the Shiva who resides within you.
There must be swiftness — in whatever we do, there must be swiftness, and even in meditation, there must be swiftness. Without swiftness, no action can be accomplished.
When one is in the form of the father’s seed or in the mother’s womb, there is no name. Only after birth is a name given. That essence in the womb is Brahman itself. The Divine, who is all-pervading and cannot be removed from anywhere, has no specific name. We refer to God as the one beyond name, form, and differences. We can choose any name to call upon that Supreme. To the voice that calls with love, that Divine Power will certainly listen. When you attain the authority of true love, and place your focus at the Ajna (third eye), the universal energy will definitely respond. The Guru declares: Trust yourself fully — with complete faith — and that power will act through you.

Lines 3 and 4:

To be free from both pleasure and pain — that neutral state is the true state of being. One must realize this truth. “From ancient times, the eternal Marai (Vedas) have conveyed this reality. What was spoken in the Vedic age through the Vedas — that eternal truth — can now be seen right here, within you,” says Thirumoolar.
If we call upon the Divine with true self-confidence, the voice that calls will surely be heard — and He will enter within us. For the Divine to fully enter us, both the external instruments (pura karanam) and the internal instruments (aga karanam) must be completely aligned. When we call upon Him with such inner integration — with melting devotion, faith, and trust — we can truly feel His presence working within us.
