**How does Gurumahan manage to remain in penance for 21 days without food or water?**
Universal energy exists in three forms: formless, formless-with-form, and with form. The nourishment we receive comes in three types—solid, liquid, and air. The subtle life force, known as Prana or Pranava Shakti, fills the entire cosmos. This divine energy flows through every level of existence, transforming into water, earth, and eventually manifesting as plants, fruits, vegetables, and greens. Just as we take in solid and liquid food through the mouth, we also receive air through our breath—without which life cannot continue .

Subtle energies fill the universe. When Kundalini rises from the mooladharam to the crown, one experiences bliss through prāṇa. At the crown, Pranava energy transforms and revitalizes every cell. This energy then flows from the aakinai (third eye) down to the root through the central channel, nourishing cells, tissues, and organs—forming the body itself. The body absorbs essential energy directly from the universe, eliminating hunger. Water molecules present in the air also enter through the crown, supporting blood circulation.

Life continues by absorbing this life energy. When hunger and thirst are transcended, metabolic and decay processes also become regulated. The pure blood circulating from the heart, upon reaching the crown chakra in the brain, transforms from *mrutham* (death) into *amirdham* (immortality). This divine nectar is produced there, and by consuming it, one can survive up to a week without food. For healthy blood circulation, it is essential to eat pure, nutritious sattvic food and maintain good thoughts and emotions.
Among the 101 nāḍis (energy channels) that extend 16 angulas from the heart, one special nāḍi ascends toward the crown. As pure blood flows upward to the crown, similar to how a mother’s blood transforms into milk after childbirth, for enlightened beings (gnanis), this blood flow transforms into *amirdham* (divine nectar).

The *Vindhu* (seed essence) at the mooladhara is the powerful energy known as Kuṇḍalinī. When awakened by fire (kanal) and moving through the central channel (sushumna naadi) spiraling up to the crown, it transforms into a radiant *Bindhu* at the forehead. When this Bindhu energy merges with the *Aaradharam* (spiritual subtle layers), it combines with the *amirtham* generated by the blood’s circulation and the deep awareness arising there. At this moment, a wondrous inner jewel called *rasamaṇi* is revealed. It is here that one can understand the reason behind their human existence.

My beloved divine students, when you comprehend the purpose behind this manifestation, fully experience it, and transcend it, you will receive the great blessing of liberation from rebirth. Therefore, we who have attained the *rasamaṇi* and *amirtham* are the ones destined to elevate humanity. It is the exalted mission of Gurumahan that you too reach this highest state.
