Thirumandhiram -252 What are the Dharmas everyone should follow? | அனைவரும் செய்ய வேண்டிய தர்மங்கள் என்ன?
யாவர்க்குமாம் இறைவற்கு ஒரு பச்சிலை;
யாவர்க்குமாம் பசுவுக்கு ஒரு வாயுறை;
யாவர்க்குமாம் உண்ணும்போது ஒரு கைப்பிடி;
யாவர்க்குமாம் பிறர்க்கு இன்னுரை தானே.
Line 1:
Everyone is capable of offering a simple green leaf to God as a gesture of devotion.
Line 2:
Each of us can spare a mouthful of feed for a cow, showing care for all living beings.
Line 3:
We can all share a portion of our food with others when we eat, no matter how small.
Line 4:
And most importantly, we all can — and should — speak with kindness to one another.
Do not hurt anyone’s feelings — especially those of your mother, father, teacher, or even God. We should not speak harshly to anyone. The foundation of true yoga is the path of loving all living beings as we love our own self. After all, we all come from the same Supreme Source.
The essence of all that has arisen in our land — the Upanishads, the Brahmasutra, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Thirumandiram — is this:
**”There is but one race, one God. All is one.”**
Once we understand this truth, what should we do? Each person must carry out their own duty with sincerity. Fulfilling one’s duty is the way to serve the Divine as realized by the wise.
Let Wisdom Flourish!
