There is no such thing as forgetting anything. Everything is within our memory. But we need to decide which memory is necessary and which one is not. We should remove unnecessary memories and strengthen the important ones.


This can be done by practicing a simple breathing technique. When we inhale, impressions(memories) are recorded in our brain; when we exhale,  impressions are released.


Therefore, to remove the impressions recorded in our mind, take deep, conscious breaths. While exhaling, bring to mind the thought that repeatedly causes you pain or distress. As you breathe out, mentally affirm, “Let this thought leave me.”  
In doing so, those thoughts gradually get erased from the brain’s records.
