Guru is the source of all creation in the universe |குருவே இந்த பிரபஞ்ச தோற்றத்திற்கு மூல காரணம்
Sthoola Guru – Physical Guru
Sookshuma Guru – Subtle Guru
Kaarana Guru – Causal Guru — the ultimate cause or source behind the creation of this universe. From the sacred will of the Guru known as the Supreme Atom (parabrahmam), this entire universe came into being and expanded. It is from the divine thought of that Guru that all of creation has unfolded and evolved.
From the Guru — who is none other than the Supreme Consciousness — nothing separate has arisen. All that exists has manifested as an expression of the Guru. He did not create something other; He became everything. Thus, the universe itself is the Guru in form, in motion, in essence. This is the philosophy of the universe (Prapanja Tattvam), the philosophy of Brahman (Brahma Tattvam), and the philosophy of the soul (Atma Tattvam) — above all these, there is no philosophy higher than the Guru Tattvam (the principle of the Guru).
‘Tat’ means ‘That’, referring to the ultimate reality or the divine. ‘Tvam’ means “You” (the individual self). When combined in “Tattvam” or “Tattva”, it refers to the principle that reveals or makes one realize That as it truly is.
The Guru is truly Brahma,
The Guru is truly Vishnu,
The Guru is truly Maheshwara (Shiva).
The Guru is indeed the embodiment of the Supreme Brahman (Parabrahman). That Guru shines as the Creator, The Protector, and the Dissolver — He is everything, the all-pervading divine essence.
This reflects the essence of the Guru Stotram — seeing the Guru not just as a teacher, but as the very manifestation of the divine in all its forms.
Guru Tattvam shines as the essence of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. It is the source of all powers, the fundamental energy behind everything. One must strive to realize and know that supreme power.
The Guru Is the Paranjothi, the Supreme Light, who dwells in the all-powerful and complete Absolute (Paripuranam).
That Guru must be contemplated with our thoughts, words, and actions.
