When the breath is slow yet steady, the wandering mind calms down. In the stillness of breath, the mind ceases to exist. This concept is echoed in the Thirumandhiram, which states:

"Where the mind is, there is the breath;
Where the mind is not, there is no breath"

To bring the mind to a state of stillness, one must observe the natural rhythm of breathing without attempting to alter it.
As the breath slows and turns inward, it reflects the movement of life energy. When the breath becomes tranquil, it aligns with the essence of life. In this state, the mind unites with its source. When the mind transcends the senses and connects with this source, it creates a pathway for cosmic energy to flow throughout the body. This process signifies the awakening of the third eye and the crown chakra.
