Gurumahan speaks about voluntary and involuntary actions. One is actions by us, one are actions that are happening from within. Similarly all the functions in the universe Re both voluntary and involuntary. This means that there is a something that is directing us from within. Just because we don't see that, it does not mean that that director does not exist. This is God or supreme energy. Guru is the one that guides us and makes us realize this supreme energy. There fore it is important to have faith in Guru.
